Jo began playing the saxophone at school as there was a spare tenor sax all alone in the instrument cupboard, and the school band needed new players. Ah, it was fate! It was her destiny!
Jo learnt to play really quickly, and went on to study the saxophone at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.
After leaving college and heading south, Jo went on to learn the flute and clarinet, and can often be found in many a theatre pit playing for musicals!
Jo has also played with the National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain, and currently plays soprano, and makes the tea, in the sax quartet, "Forty Fingers".
She has played in many countries around the world including The USA, Canada, France, Slovenia, and China. Closer to home, Jo has performed many times at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Jo plays Yamaha saxophones, and has recently discovered how fabulous Aizen mouthpieces are!
