Keith Bryan (aka K.B.) - Drums and Percussion

K.B. has been playing music since leaving school many moons ago!

His first band, Blizzard, was formed in the late 60’s with current New Foundations member guitarist Richard, former member Paul Dyson, and Spencer James, currently touring with The Searchers.

In 1974, K.B. and Spencer James joined The First Class, who had a No 1 hit in the USA and Europe, and No 12 in the UK with the classic "Beach Baby".

Subsequently, K.B. spent many happy years touring Europe, playing over 1000 gigs.

He then went on to establish RAM Studios, one of the first professional standard rehearsal studios in West London. RAM rapidly gained a reputation as one of the best facilities in The south. So much so that now legendary  bands including The Sweet, Mud, Ozzy Osborne, The Nolans, Bernie Torme, Whitesnake and The Damned rehearsed there throughout the 70,s.

It was at RAM studios that K.B. met The Sweet lead singer, Brian Connolly. Brian asked K.B. to join The Sweet as their drummer and manager, which he did, and stayed for many years.

On one “Glam Rock” tour, Les Gray’s Mud was on the same bill as The Sweet, whereupon K.B. jumped ship and joined Mud! K.B. and Les were great friends right up to Les’s untimely death in February 2004.

In the 80’s, K.B. joined the reformed Kenny, who had found fame in the 70’s with hits  including  "The Bump” (UK No 3), “Fancy Pants" (UK No 4), and many more!

He also played drums on Dennis Waterman’s hit "I Should Be So Good For You", which reached No 4 in the UK in November 1980, and went on to become the theme tune to the popular TV series, Minder.

In the 90,s, Keith, along with former New Foundations bassist Ian, formed The Silver Searchers, a tribute band to the Mersey beat era of the 60’s. The Silver Searchers toured prolifically for 15 years

In 2007, K.B. founded West Star Rehearsal Studios in High Wycombe, and formed The New Foundations to satisfy his craving to get out there and play classic hits of the 60,s, Soul and Tamla Motown music!

K.B. plays a 70's Ludwig chrome kit with Paste and Zyldjian cymbals. Accessories include a Stagg tambourine and XXXL seat!
